Privacy notice

Intermediate Data Systems ("IDT", "we", "us") is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. We take the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) seriously and only process personal information lawfully, for clear purposes and with care.

We don't ask for special personal information (such as health, religion or biometric data), and the website isn't meant for children under 18.

• To arrange your consultation: create the calendar invite and video link, send confirmations and reminders, and let you reschedule or cancel. (Your request and consent.)
• To reply to your message and follow up on what you asked about. (Your request and our legitimate interest in responding.)
• To send you our newsletter, only after you confirm your email address. (Your consent.)
• To keep the website secure and stop spam and abuse. (Our legitimate interest.)
• To understand how the website is used and improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies. (Your consent.)
• To keep proof of the consent you gave us. (Our legal obligations under POPIA.)

We don't use your information for automated decisions about you, and we never sell it.

• Essential: we remember your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every page.
• Security: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by people, not bots.
• Analytics (optional): PostHog shows us which pages are useful. These only run if you click Accept, and you can change your mind at any time.

We use trusted service providers (operators) to run the website. They may only process your information on our instructions and must keep it secure.

Your booking details are shared with the IDT consultant you meet. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Some of our providers store or process information outside South Africa, including in the European Union. We only use providers that are bound by data protection laws or agreements that give a level of protection similar to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires.

• Information is encrypted while it travels between your browser and our systems.
• Only the people who need it can access it.
• Internet addresses are scrambled (hashed) before we store them.
• Links in our emails are signed and expire, so they can't be guessed or reused.
• Spam protection and rate limits on every form.

If we ever have a security breach that affects your information, we'll tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

• Ask whether we hold information about you, and for a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Object to how we use it.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything we did before.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in every email.
• Complain to the Information Regulator.
